Ongoing support, without an open-ended retainer.
A website is software, and software needs maintenance: updates, patching, monitoring, and small changes over time. Maintenance keeps an existing site healthy — it is not a subscription for unlimited new development.
What maintenance plans cover
Delivered as part of an agreed scope, confirmed in writing before work begins.
- Software, dependency, and platform updates
- Availability monitoring and uptime checks
- Backup configuration where applicable
- Bug fixes for agreed existing functionality
- Content updates by arrangement
- Security maintenance and patching
- Technical support by email
What you actually receive
A defined scope
Each plan states what is included, what the response window is, and how many update hours are provided.
Changes in writing
Requests are logged in writing so you always know what was asked for, what was done, and when.
Separate development work
New features, redesigns, and large content projects are quoted as separate work, so maintenance fees stay honest.
A clear exit
Plans are monthly with no long lock-in. If you leave, you keep your site, your accounts, and your code.
Support levels
Plans are monthly and optional. They exist for sites that are live and earning, not as a compulsory add-on to every project.

How support requests are handled
Support works best with a written trail. Requests are logged, scoped, and answered with a clear statement of whether the work is covered.
Send it in writing
Email is the primary channel so every request has a record: what changed, when, and by whom. Urgent outages are handled as agreed per site.
Covered or quoted
If a request falls outside the plan, you get a written estimate before any work starts. Nothing is silently billed.
Configured where possible
Backup configuration depends on the hosting environment. Where it is available, restore procedures are documented so recovery is not guesswork.
Nothing is held hostage
Plans are monthly, cancelable, and you keep your accounts, domains, and code. No lock-in is designed into the arrangement.
How a project runs
The same process applies to every engagement, so you always know what happens next and what it costs.
Scope conversation
You describe the business, the customers, and the outcome you need. I ask the questions that decide what should actually be built.
Written proposal
You receive a plain-language proposal: page structure, functionality, revision rounds, schedule, price, and what is explicitly not included.
Design and structure approval
Architecture and visual direction are reviewed and approved before development starts, so changes are cheap at this stage.
Development and review
The site or application is built on a staging environment you can review at any time, with progress updates at agreed milestones.
Launch and handover
Deployment, redirects, metadata, forms, and analytics checks are completed, then you receive access, documentation, and optional support.
Common questions
Is maintenance included with a project?
No. Projects include a launch warranty period for defects in delivered work, which is stated in your agreement. Ongoing maintenance is a separate, optional plan.
What counts as a bug fix versus new work?
A bug is delivered functionality that does not behave as specified. Anything that changes or adds behavior is new work and gets quoted separately.
Can you maintain a site you did not build?
Sometimes. It depends on the platform, the hosting, and how accessible the codebase is. A short assessment is done first so the commitment is realistic.
What is the response time?
Essential Support is typically within three business days, Business Support within one business day. Critical outage handling is agreed per site.
